Privacy Policy & Terms
Learn how we protect your personal information and maintain complete transparency across our applications.
Your privacy is paramount. This document outlines how Exovoid Sàrl ("we", "our") handles data across our Free (ad-supported) and PRO (ad-free) mobile applications ("Apps") and services.

2. Core App Functionality & Location Data (Both Versions)
2.1 On-Device Location Processing (No Server Transmission)
Unlike typical weather applications, we prioritize maximum user anonymity:
We have engineered our applications so that precise coordinates are mapped to the nearest weather station ID directly on the client device. This method ensures maximum anonymity and security.
No Server Logs: Access logs on our infrastructure are disabled; we do not store, log, or share your IP address for weather data retrieval.
Manual Option:You can completely deny location permissions and search for locations manually.
3. Data Processing: Free vs. PRO Version
To maintain transparency, data collection depends entirely on the version of the App you are using:
A. PRO Version (Ad-Free) No Advertising Identifiers
The PRO version does not use any advertising SDKs. It does not track, collect, or share your device identifiers or network data for advertising purposes.
Minimal Processing: Data processing is strictly confined to local weather generation and anonymous performance analytics.
B. Free Version (Ad-Supported)
The Free version displays third-party ads. Under data protection laws (GDPR / Swiss FADP), technical data used for advertising is considered personal data.
IP Address & PETs: To support ad measurement and personalization, Google utilizes automatically transmitted network information, specifically your IP address, alongside Privacy-Enhancing Technologies (PETs) like on-device processing.
TCF Compliance (EEA, UK, Switzerland): Ads are managed via a Google-certified Consent Management Platform (CMP) adhering to the IAB Europe Transparency and Consent Framework. Google operates under TCF Feature 3 ("Identify devices based on information transmitted automatically").
US State Privacy Rights & RDP: For residents of applicable US states (including California, Virginia, Colorado, Texas, and others), the App supports your right to opt out of targeted advertising. If you opt out via the in-app "Privacy Settings" menu, or if your system transmits a recognized universal opt-out signal (like Global Privacy Control), the App activates Google's Restricted Data Processing (RDP). In RDP mode, Google acts strictly as a data service provider, disabling behavioral tracking and serving non-personalized contextual ads only.
Consent & Control: This processing only occurs if you grant explicit consent via the in-app consent popup. You can review or revoke your consent at any time via the App's "Privacy Settings" menu.
Mandatory Disclosures: To understand how Google manages your data, please review the Google Business Privacy & Terms Page and How Google Uses Information From Sites or Apps.
4. Shared Third-Party Analytics (Both Versions)
To ensure system stability, both versions utilize minimal Google/Firebase infrastructure:
Google Analytics for Firebase: Used strictly for basic statistical analysis (user counts, country demographics, platform properties). We do not track Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
Firebase Crashlytics: Used to monitor system crashes. IP addresses are fully anonymized before system logs are processed. Opt-Out: You can restrict device-level tracking (AAID on Android, IDFA on iOS) at any time through your mobile device's native system privacy settings.
5. General Provisions & Legal Rights
User Support: If you contact us via email, your address is used solely to respond to your inquiry and is never shared.
Your Rights: Under applicable laws, you have the right to request access, rectification, or erasure of any personal data we hold.
External Links: Our apps may contain links to external services. We do not control and are not responsible for the privacy practices of external websites.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties & Absolute Limitation of Liability
"As-Is" Service: The Apps and all meteorological data, forecasts, and information provided through them are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, with all faults and without warranties of any kind. Exovoid Sàrl explicitly disclaims any warranties of accuracy, reliability, completeness, timeliness, or uninterrupted availability of the forecasts.
No Critical Reliance: Meteorological data is for informational purposes only. The Apps must not be used or relied upon for safety-critical decisions, aviation, marine navigation, extreme weather planning, or life-protection scenarios.
Exclusion of Negligence: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law (including Art. 100 of the Swiss Code of Obligations), Exovoid Sàrl excludes all liability for any damages caused by slight or ordinary negligence.
No Consequential Damages: Under no circumstances shall Exovoid Sàrl, its owners, or directors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages—including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, property damage, business interruption, or personal inconvenience—arising out of the use or inability to use the Apps, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Absolute Liability Cap: In any event, the absolute maximum aggregate liability of Exovoid Sàrl for any and all claims, disputes, or causes of action shall be strictly limited to the exact amount actually paid by you (if any) directly to purchase the PRO version of the App. If you are using the Free version, our total liability is exactly zero.
